Monjurosuchus splendens
Taxonomy
Monjurosuchus splendens was named by Endo (1940) [original type "reportedly lost during World War II" (Gao et al. 2000)]. Its type specimen is Former Central National Museum of Manchoukou no. 3671 (holotype, destroyed); GMV 2167 (neotype), a partial skeleton (nearly complete skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tanankou, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Monjurosuchus.
