Meurthodon gallicus
Taxonomy
Meurthodon gallicus was named by Sigogneau-Russell and Hahn (1994). Its type specimen is MNHN SNP-1-W, a tooth, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, which is in a Rhaetian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Grès à Avicula contorta Formation of France. It is the type species of Meurthodon.
