Pteronychia haupti
Taxonomy
Pteronychia haupti was named by Pojeta and Gilbert-Tomlinson (1977). Its type specimen is CPC 15564, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Locality 83. E 25. 2 kilometers east of Mount Charlotte, which is in a Darriwilian marine sandstone in the Stairway Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Pteronychia.
