Taxonomy
Fissurella subcostaria was named by d'Orbigny (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Fissurella (Lucapina) subcostaria by Cossmann and Peyrot (1917); it was recombined as Diodora subcostaria by Lozouet et al. (2001).
