Taxonomy
Zeacolpus was named by Finlay (1926) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-u R Sepkoski's reference number: 681]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Turritellinae by Wilson (1993), Allmon (1996), Bouchet et al. (2005); and to Turritellidae by Beu et al. (1990), Darragh (2017).
