Taxonomy
Clathurella amica was named by Pilsbry and Johnson (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Miraclathurella amica by Woodring (1928), Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
