Taxonomy
Glyphostoma moinica was named by Olsson (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene; Costa Rica.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Limon, which is in a Pliocene marine siliciclastic in Costa Rica.

It was recombined as Lioglyphostoma moinica by Woodring (1928), Hendy et al. (2008).
