Fusisyrinx fenimorei was named by Bartsch (1934) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Recent; Panama.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Pleurofusia fenimorei by Woodring (1970); it was recombined as Fusiturricula fenimorei by Hendy et al. (2008).
