Taxonomy
Pecten (Aequipecten) decorus was named by Cooke (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: ?Oligocene-Miocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is AMNH (no number), a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Aequipecten decorus by Hendy et al. (2008).
