Astropecten navodicensis was named by Nosowska (1997). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Collection of E. Nosowska, Department of Paleontology, University of Warsaw. Its type locality is Nawodzice sand pit, which is in a Badenian shallow subtidal sandstone in the Nawodzice sands Formation of Poland.
