Cerithiopsis (Cerithiopsis) pupa was named by Dall and Simpson (1901) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Horologica pupa by Hendy et al. (2008).

Synonyms
  • Cerithium pulchellum was named by Adams (1850) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Triphora pulchella by DuBar (1971); it was synonymized subjectively with Horologica pupa by Hendy et al. (2008).
