Taxonomy
Ctenilyria was named by Woodring (1964) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m T Eo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 553; possibly a synonym of Pseudolyria (Darragh 1989)]. Its type is Ctenilyria ctenista.

It was assigned to Lyrinae by Woodring (1964); to Volutinae by Darragh (1989); and to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
