Taxonomy
Pecten tenuilineatus was named by Meek and Worthen (1860). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Streblopteria tenuilineata by Meek and Worthen (1866) and Sayre (1930); it was recombined as Streblochondria tenuilineata by Newell (1938), Elias (1957), Hoare (1961) and Maxwell (1964).
