Taxonomy
Alpinocodium fluegeli was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Zamparelli (2005). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mahlknecht (Molignon) Cliff, Alpi di Siusi, Dolomites, which is in a Longobardian slope/ramp reef reef rocks in Italy. It is the type species of Alpinocodium.
