Borealosuchus acutidentatus
Taxonomy
Leidyosuchus acutidentatus was named by Sternberg (1932). Its type specimen is Geol. Surv. Can. No. 8544, a partial skeleton (skull, left dentary, part of right dentary, splenial, parts of anterior vertebrae, parts of left fore limb and dermal scutes), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southeast of Montague Lake, which is in a Danian terrestrial siltstone in the Ravenscrag Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Borealosuchus acutidentatus by Brochu (1997), Brochu (2000), Wu et al. (2001), Puértolas et al. (2011) and Bronzati et al. (2012).
