Ingridella was named by Wiedmann (1960).

It was reranked as Fallotites (Ingridella) by Wiedmann (1960); it was reranked as Spathites (Ingridella) by Wright et al. (1996), Barroso-Barcenilla (2007).

It was assigned to Fallotites by Wiedmann (1960); to Mammitinae by Cooper (1998); and to Spathites by Wright et al. (1996), Barroso-Barcenilla (2007).
