Longoconcha was named by Stephenson (1941) [Sepkoski's age data: K Coni K Maes-u]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Volutoderminae by Sohl (1964) and Saul and Squires (2008).
