Taxonomy
Pronoella desioi was named by Ronchetti (1970). Its type locality is Sample 61 AD-65/3, Karkar (type section), central Badakhshan, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone/marl in the Karkar Formation of Afghanistan.
