Taxonomy
Cypraea neumayri was named by Hilber (1879). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pöls, which is in a Badenian coastal sandstone in the Florian Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Cypropterina (Cypraeotrivia) neumayri by Schilder (1941); it was recombined as Jenneria (Projenneria) neumayri by Dolin (1997); it was recombined as Projenneria neumayri by Fehse and Vicián (2008).
