Lissoceras monachum

Taxonomy
Haploceras monachum was named by Gemmellaro (1877) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Jurassic; Europe.]. Its type specimen is MGUP-016.26, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Cappuccini, Monte Erice (Gemmellaro collection), which is in a Bathonian deep subtidal ramp packstone/grainstone in the Erice Formation of Italy.

It was recombined as Lissoceras monachum by Sturani (1964), Pavia (2007) and Galácz (2019).
