Fusus subregularis was named by d'Archiac and Haime (1854) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Euthriofusus subregularis by Vredenburg (1925) and Iqbal (1980).
