Taxonomy
Philbertia (Nannodiella) was named by Dall (1919) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 549]. It is extant. Its type is Philbertia (Nannodiella) nana.

It was reranked as Nannodiella by Woodring (1928), Woodring (1970), Todd (2001), Sepkoski (2002), Bouchet et al. (2011).

It was assigned to Philbertia by Dall (1919); to Mangeliinae by Woodring (1928), Woodring (1970); to Turridae by Todd (2001); to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Clathurellidae by Bouchet et al. (2011).
