Simosuchus clarki
Taxonomy
Simosuchus clarki was named by Buckley et al. (2000). Its type specimen is University of Antananarivo 8679, a partial skeleton (complete skull and anterior portion of postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MAD98-17 (SUNY), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Maevarano Formation of Madagascar.
