Nucula miliaris was named by Deshayes (1829) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Eocene; western Europe.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Nuculina miliaris by Vincent (1899); it was recombined as Nucinella miliaris by Wood (1850), Glibert and Van de Poel (1965), Glibert (1985).

Synonyms
  • Nuculina suessoniensis was named by Watelet (1870). It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Nuculina miliaris by Cossmann (1887).
