Cyclostrema striata was named by Gabb (1873) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Pliocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Vitrinella (Circulus) striata by Maury (1917); it was recombined as Vitrinella striata by Perrilliat (1972).
