Taxonomy
Fusus hoessi was named by Parsch in Hörnes (1837) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; central Paratethys.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Fusinus hoessi by Baluk (1998); it was recombined as Fusinus (Fusinus) hoessi by Schultz (1998) and Harzhauser (2002).
