Taxonomy
Pecten fraterculus was named by Sowerby in Smith (1841) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Recent; Mediterranean.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Pecten (Flabellipecten) fraterculus by Marasti (1973); it was recombined as Flabellipecten fraterculus by Hendy (2007).
