Streptodictyon was named by Tembrock (1961) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol-l T Mi-m Sepkoski's reference number: 1119].
It was assigned to Fasciolariidae by Wienrich (2001); to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Fusininae by Harzhauser (2004) and Schnetler et al. (2024).
