Sanchuansaurus pygmaeus
Taxonomy
Sanchuansaurus pygmaeus was named by Gao (1989). Its type specimen is IVPP V6723, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tianjialing, Xuecun Town, which is in a Changhsingian fluvial conglomerate/mudstone in the Shihtienfeng, Shiqianfeng, Sunjiagou Formation of China. It is the type species of Sanchuansaurus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Shansisaurus xuecunensis by Li and Liu (2013).
