Iridotriton hechti
Taxonomy
Iridotriton hechti was named by Evans et al. (2005). Its type specimen is DINO 16453a, b, a partial skeleton (part and counterpart of a nearly complete skeleton preserved in three dimensions), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is DNM 96, Rainbow Park microsite, which is in a Tithonian terrestrial mudstone/mudstone in the Morrison Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Iridotriton.
