Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
E. L. Yochelson 1960Patelliform gastropods with elongate aperture and high posterior apex; lateral slopes inclined nearly 35 degrees from vertical; posterior slope very steep, near apex changing to a slope of nearly 45 degrees, so that in profile the slope appears concave; anterior slope 10 to 15 degrees from horizontal for approximately half of length, then steepening so that in profile this slope appears convex; muscle scar strongly impressed, extending along most of length of side and flaring slightly at each end, seemingly narrower than in forms with lower apex; shell smooth, without concentric undulations or radial lirae.
