Taxonomy
Solarium alabamense was named by Dall (1892) [DISTRIBUTION: Ecoene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Dinaxis alabamense by Bieler (1985); it was recombined as Architectonica alabamensis by Perrilliat et al. (2006).
