Taxonomy
Odostomella was named by Bucquoy et al. (1844) [Sepkoski's age data: Q Plei R]. It is extant. Its type is Rissoa doliolum.

It was assigned to Pyramidellidae by Lozouet (1998); and to Heterostrophia by Sepkoski (2002).
