Archaeothyris florensis
Taxonomy
Archaeothyris florensis was named by Reisz (1972). Its type specimen is MCZ 4079, a partial skeleton (partial skull, pelvis, sacral vertebra, and axis), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dominion Coal Co. strip mine No. 7, which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D mire/swamp coal/shale in Canada.
