Eutrephoceras jonesi was named by Miller and Thompson (1933) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Clarke Co. [Midway Group] - Nautiloidea, which is in a Paleocene coastal sandstone in Alabama.
