Taxonomy
Aturia alabamensis peruviana was named by Olsson (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Panama.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Aturia peruviana by Miller and Thompson (1937), Miller and Furnish (1939), Clark and Durham (1946), Miller and Downs (1950) and Miller et al. (1955).
