Ficopsis greenwoodi was named by Sowerby (1825) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Ficus greenwoodii by Tracey et al (1995); it was recombined as Ficus greenwoodi by Burton (1933) and Squires (2014).
