Taxonomy
Graphiocrinus scopulus was named by Lane and Webster (1966) [Holotype now at Los Angeles County Museum]. Its type specimen is UCLA 39653, a calyx, and it is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Contocrinus scopulus by Pabian and Strimple (1974).
