Taxonomy
Neochonetes (Sommeriella) regularis was named by Shen et al. (2000). Its type specimen is NMV P148852, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Selong Xishan, Bed 3, which is in a Wuchiapingian shallow subtidal limestone in China.
