Taxonomy
Cyrtella erecta was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F52894 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L3126, Rose's Pride Mine, which is in an Artinskian coastal sandstone/conglomerate in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
