Taxonomy
Lepidocrania sublamellosa was named by Cooper and Grant (1974). Its type specimen is USNM 151406a, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM706e, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian marine limestone in the Word Formation of Texas.
