Schizopleuronia grandis
Taxonomy
Schizopleuronia grandis was named by Liao (1983) [Probably at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology]. Its type specimen is 70460, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Matan Section Act470, Heshan, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Heshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Schizopleuronia.
