Bilotina acantha

Taxonomy
Septasteges acanthus was named by Waterhouse and Piyasin (1970). Its type specimen is University of Toronto B300, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khao Phrik, Rat Buri, which is in a Wordian offshore shelf limestone/limestone in the Rat Buri Formation of Thailand. It is the type species of Septasteges.

It was recombined as Bilotina acantha by Grant (1976), Yanagida and Pillevuit (1994), Verna and Angiolini (2011).
