Derbyia auriplexa
Taxonomy
Derbyia auriplexa was named by Hoover (1981). Its type specimen is USNM 220982, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 13, mule trail between El Portachuelo and Mucuchachi, which is in a Kungurian deep subtidal shelf wackestone in the Palmarito Formation of Venezuela.
