Altudoceras altudense

Taxonomy
Gastrioceras altudense was named by Böse (1919). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Two miles southwest of Altuda station, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Altuda Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Altudoceras.

It was recombined as Paragastrioceras altudense by Plummer and Scott (1937); it was recombined as Pseudogastrioceras altudense by Miller and Furnish (1940); it was recombined as Altudoceras altudense by Ruzhentsev (1974) and Leonova (2002).
