Aturia cubaensis

Taxonomy
Nautilus cubaensis was named by Lea (1841) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 16123, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is White Limestone of Matanzas, which is in a Langhian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Güines Formation of Cuba.

It was recombined as Aturia cubaensis by Miller (1947), Miller and Downs (1950), Miller and Furnish (1956), Jung (1966), Bossio (1972), Beu (1973), Woodring (1982), Ehiro et al. (2001), Tomida et al. (2002), Nielsen et al. (2009), Laurito and Mora (2018).
