Taxonomy
Nautilus wylliei was named by Newton (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Eastern Africa.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cimomia wyllei by Spath (1927) and Miller (1947); it was recombined as Cimomia wylliei by Miller (1951) and Haas and Miller (1952).
