Strigirhynchia indentata

Taxonomy
Rhynchonella indentata was named by Shumard (1859) [Neotype selected by Girty]. Its type specimen is USNM 118572, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2926 green, Capitan Peak, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Strigirhynchia indentata by Cooper and Grant (1969), Cooper and Grant (1976).
