Saginospongia angusta
Taxonomy
Saginospongia angusta was named by Rigby and Senowbari-Daryan (1996). Its type specimen is USNM 463677 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Locality G5, Saikra Biohermal Complex, Saikra, Djebel Tebaga, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm lime mudstone/grainstone in the Saikra Biohermal Complex Formation of Tunisia. It is the type species of Saginospongia.
