Nerita tjidamarensis was named by Martin (1879) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Indonesia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Nerita (Neritina) tjidamarensis by Martin (1905); it was recombined as Neritina tjidamarensis by van der Vlerk (1931) and van den Hoek Ostende et al. (2002).
